Hometown
Dang!
The day here starts from the moment the door of the house is opened. Perhaps, 4 AM or 4:30 AM is the most common time you will find. As we can imagine a typical Nepalese people life, similar to that, the first task to be done is some puja to our gods and goddess. It is believed that it is needed to be spiritually and mentally healthy to do pray and meditation to God in the morning and may be it is the reason the long followed tradition is still in our everyday daily routines.
Then, our mom or sisters start with some kitchen work whereas dad and brothers got some other works to do like going in fields and starting the work. If it's the office work and time, the story is different. Till there is 9 AM, the chaos remains in the house. Either be it to send the children in school bus or other members to office, till all of them has reached the morning destination, mom in the house doesn't get free and remember not even to have a cup of tea by herself.
Hectic right! Yes, and imagine doing this daily since years and years. A salute to our moms.
The life here is quite different. I would say drastically. The process is same. Everywhere the morning chaos is there and the hustle too. Then, where is the difference? The difference is in the mindset and behavior. The people here are living their life truly. They are happy, sad, shy, excited, angry when they are and they show. They are kind in real not in face only. They know and understand the importance of dedication. They treat everyone like they know them from the beginning. Importantly, they don't guide themselves from ulterior motives. Now, I don't mean that other people are exactly opposite to them but trust me we can feel the difference. Difference in the treatment we receive and feel while being with them and other is beyond these words. After all, I have spent my 17 years here and I feel connected by my soul and all senses to this place, air, land, and people.
Love is not something that I will be using to describe because its just the word. Trust me what I feel is beyond it and if you are also someone who has moved out from your hometown then you are feeling it for sure.
A last note to my home town is A note of gratitude. Gratitude for all the memories, experiences and moments which are priceless and more than anything.
