1st ever presentation😃
Welcome! This is my second day and a second session of English from Eakprasad Sir😊.
Around 7:31 AM in the clock, busy class, friends talk and just in the mean time Eakprasad sir entered our classroom. We greeted and started formally. It was the first session of the day.
What's new??
Today, I was predicting that we will start our course formally but I didn't know which book we will be reading because there are three books of English only. And sir told us that we will be study "The Selfish Giant" written by Oscar Wilde from The Joys of Reading book.
Game in between
I knew that our English teacher is very much creative and he always brings something new in the table. So, instead of starting line by line we started with a game. We played only 2rounds of the game and I was in the 1st round. It was all about to send a message that poor or no communication brings gap in people and it's true.
Something in the table, what's?
Here, sir divided us in different groups(total 7). We were assigned with different topics to research and present infront if the class. I was in the 1st group and we had Background I.e Authors background. We started researching, divided our topics to speak and present too.
My part😊
I chose Career as my topic because I think it is one of the word that always attracts me for no reason. And I presented as below:
Author, playwright and a poet Oscar Wilde was one of the popular literary figure in late Victorian England. At the age of 23, Wilde entered Magdalen College England and in 1878, he was awarded with the Newdigate Prize for his poem "Ravenna." Here, he attracted a group of followers whose members were purposefully unproductive and artificial and the his writing career began.
Oscar Wilde wrote in different genres, such as literary movement, notable works, spouse, fiction etc. And "The Selfish Giant" a fable is one of his fiction writing.
Oscar was also known for his wit, flamboyance, his trails and got sentenced jail for homosexual acts. But apart from this, Oscar received Retro Hugo Award for The Beat Dramatic Presentation for The Picture of Derain Gray in 1996, followed by Retro Hugo Award for the Best Dramatic Presentation, Short Form for The Canterville Ghost in 2020.
In a nutshell, Oscars greatest talent was for writing plays and he produced a string of extremely popular comedies including 'Lady Windermere's Fan 1892', 'An ideal Husband 1885', and 'The Importance of Being Earnest 1895'.
After my turn, my two friends presented about the summary of the fable and about his works.
Apart form this!
Except our presentation, there were others too and without any line reading also we had got the meaning and lesson the chapter. In between, our teacher played animated video about the lesson. We enjoyed watching.
Gist
Today, was my first ever presentation in classroom, infront of my mates. It was a new thing and exciting too. All thank to Eak sir and friends. With this we finished our session with beautiful lesson of being kind to everyone.
So elaborative!
